There have been some steps taken in the effort to initiate ways to prevent global warming, but a bit slow if you ask me. The recent move to subsidize the growing of corn to be made into fuel smacks a bit of pork barreling. Especially when a recent news report stated that sorghum, a far less acreage-heavy crop, which produces four times the energy, can serve the same purpose in a superior way. Aren’t there scientists who could have brought this to light before they ever started down the corn road? Probably so. News sources also recently revealed that New York City’s electric use, at a current cost of $13 billion a year, has prompted some clever engineer to harness the water currents in the East River with turbines.

HGH is the growth hormone of the human body that powers its growth during childhood right up past adolescence. It is a large and complex hormone that has a lot of influence on other hormones.

The fact that our bodies do not degenerate while we are young is largely due to the fact that HGH is being produced in adequate amounts by the pituitary gland, and consequently, growth exceeds decay, or degeneration.

After a certain age, however, HGH production slows down and almost grinds to a halt. The age when this occurs is roughly around the age of 40. That’s when we notice wrinkles setting in, and our bodies not as vigorous and lively as it once was. More info in this post on HGH, the Human Growth Hormone.

There arose, out of need, the Reading Approach, in view of improving learner’s reading skills to foundationally enable them towards language learning. This did not last long since the blazing flame of World War II demanded a method that could quickly produce learners familiar with foreign languages. Henceforth, some linguists, hired by the US government, devised the Audio-Lingual Approach – a mixture of behavioral psychology and structural linguistics. The same while we eye the Oral or Situational Approach taking strides in Britain. With difference both focused on quick teaching of a foreign language, working on narrow or specified areas.

Chakras are those little spinning wheels that are located on our metaphysical body. For long a part of Eastern beliefs, we are only beginning to discover that these vortices are indeed real and govern the health of our body.

Although modern medical science does not believe in them, the fact remains that the veracity of benefits attained from practices like acupuncture continue to be documented and proven today. Acupuncture is a Chinese system of manipulating the flow of internal body energy and many of their major points concur with the Indian based chakra system. Thus, the belief of chakras could very likely be a real science, or else they would surely not be in practice for thousands of years. There is a lot more about chakras here.

From a standpoint of metaphysics, chakras need to kept clear and in good working order for the body to function optimally. Here is where the use of Crystals and Gems comes into play. Crystals and gems are jewels and beautiful rocks from the earth that have many uses for us humans.

Although we might be familiar with their usage as jewelry, crystals and gemstones have always played a large role in human culture as instruments of healing and advancement of psychic abilities. Crystals serve as excellent conduits of internal energy and are believed to improve the flow of energy to and from the chakras, as well throughout the body.
