As we grow older, it becomes increasingly harder to meet people. This is due largely in part to the realities of work and personal commitments – where we consistently tread over the same ground and same faces on a day-to-day basis. It also seems that the more things that we acquire, such as a house or a car, the less opportunities we have to be engaged in more social situations. Through living in our confined spaces, we have grown more socially awkward and more alone then ever before. There are different outlets to our disposal however, if we want to break out of the rut of watching television and make a conscious decision to get out and meet people.
