What is Homeschool Socialization? Perhaps the best way to describe it is the concern over the lack of interaction between those being homeschooled and people in the real world, especially the peers of these young learners. Lacking in self-esteem appears is one of the biggest concerns. As we all know, whenever a person has a low self-esteem, they have difficulties moving forward in life. Being educated to a good level at home and maybe by family members, doesn’t guarantee a fruitful and happy career. In fact self confidence can excel those who have little formal education, even though they may have to jump through a few more hoops to get to where they want to be. There are also reports which say that there is no hard evidence to suggest that socialization is any issue with homeschooled children. It appears the jury is still out on this one!
