Problem is Alcoholism? AA may not be Right!
April 17th, 2009 by BloGod is everywhere in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous (the same program for drug abuse), and this divine intervention is what deters a lot of drunks from trying or sticking with their program of recovery. Many men and women who have a problem moderating or stopping their drinking habit often look for help, but a lot of drunks just can’t or won’t give into the ‘God’ idea. In the past, it was AA or nothing for serious drinkers, but thankfully today, there are Many Alternatives. If your Problem is Alcoholism AA may not be Right for some folks trying to sober up. Alternatives for problems drinkers have not come a minute to soon and are long overdue. Members of AA like to think that their program is the one and only solution for ‘real’ drunks to get sober, but that idea is somewhat dated and naive, as many of these new options for helping folks to get sober and move on to live happier and healthier lives are showing some very favorable results.
