When teaching piano lessons to dedicated kids, I can go through a first-year piano book in half a year. Sometimes, it takes even less time. Kids who care about learning piano are a teacher’s enjoy. Sometimes it is nice to teach piano lessons to older adults, looking for an artistic release. One of the great things about teaching to adult students is that you don’t have to nag. Either they will practice or they won’t. When they don’t practice, it is not really a problem since they don’t have any parents that you have to deal with. When they do practice, you get to watch them accomplish greater and greater things as students. It is nice to not have to act as a parent and teacher at the same time.
