In all actuality there are many different places where a yeast infection can form, other then the vaginal area. These areas can include: under the breasts, around dentures, nail beds and beneath skin folds. A yeast infection is common within men as well. Yeast is attracted to areas that are dark and are extremely moist.
There are several different symptoms of a yeast infection. These types of symptoms can include things such as: Soreness, vaginal discharge, pain during intercourse and pain during urination as well as itchiness. For women who are dealing with a yeast infection and have a vaginal discharge, this discharge is generally white-ish in color and appears to be quiet thick. The vaginal discharge generally resembles the look of cottage cheese.
