Finding the Right Vaginosis Treatment

It was noted that many women who have this type of vaginitis, have no signs or symptoms at all and 1 to 4 women will have this type of vaginitis disappear on its own. But if you have this type of vaginitis, which is also known as BV, there are a few different types of vaginosis treatment available to you.
If you think that you have this type of vaginitis and you make an appointment to you’re your doctor, there are different types of tests that can be used to help determine if you have bacterial vaginosis. Your doctor may wish to do a wet mount, a whiff test, check your level of vaginal pH, a gram stain, or a test of oligonucleotide probes. The majority of these tests will be used by taking a sample of vaginal discharge and have it tested to see if you are in have bacterial vaginosis. If the tests come back positive, your doctor may prescribe to you either a form of oral antibiotic or a form of vaginal antibiotic that may be a vaginal gel or cream. In any case, make sure you follow your doctor’s instructions to help clear up this infection right away.
